Messe 2006 : See and try Sherman gear in real life : visit Schneider Beuro Halle 5.1 Boot D50
The Frankfurt Musik Messe happened from 13 to 17 March 2002 . Different manufacturers have shared a booth called "superbooth". The Superbooth was divided in 2 sections : booth C16 where the following manufacturers exhibited : Big Briar (now again Moog Music, USA), Analogue Solutions (U.K.), Technosaurus (Switserland), Vermona (former East-Germany), Doepfer (Germany), MESI (France), Tidal (The Netherlands), Elektron (Sweden) and booth B16 where Jomox (Germany) and Sherman (Belgium) exhibited. The Superbooth had a major success, and the corridors were almost blocked due to too many visitors ! It was probably the only booth with so many great analogue & hardware manufacturers all together, and were there was also lots of fun. This superbooth concept will probably be repeated in NAMM 2003. On Thursday evening there was also a party organised by the Superbooth, where lots of great artists have performed and we all got to know each other better. Please find below some pictures we took at Frankfurt, from booth B16 (Sherman / Jomox) and booth C16 (all the other manufacturers) and also from the party. ![]() at the Superbooth C16 in front of the Theremin left : Herman Gillis and right : Bob Moog ![]() the Sherman / Jomox booth B16 ![]() another view on the Sherman / Jomox booth B16 left : Jomox and right : Sherman ![]() another view on the Sherman / Jomox booth B16 with Kurt from Sherman in front of the Sherman demo table ![]() taken at the Superbooth C16 : our friends from Doepfer ![]() taken at the Superbooth C16 : our friend Mike Peake (from the USA), seen from his back, standing in front of the Technosaurus & Analogue Solutions modulars ![]() taken at the Superbooth C16 : our friend Tom Carpenter of Analogue Solutions (U.K.) sitting in front of his great machines ![]() taken at the Superbooth C16 : our friends from Vermona (former East-Germany) ![]() taken at the Superbooth C16 : our friend Dieter Doepfer with some new machine (that looks a bit like the Sherman Filterbank) ![]() taken at the party : our American media-friends : left : Chris Gill (editor Remix magazine), middle : Joanne Zola and right : Joe Perry (both from Electronic Musician) ![]() taken at the party : Herman Gillis (Sherman) performing on his Sherman Filterbank with French artist Mid & Ric ![]() taken in front of the entrance-gate from the Superbooth C16 left : Kurt (Sherman) and Mr. Kiyotsugu Suzuki (president of Fukusan Kigyo, our Japanese distributors) ![]() taken at the Superbooth C16 : left : Bob Moog, middle : Mieke Frère (Sherman) and left : Sherry Cornett (Big Briar / Moog Music) ![]() taken at the Sherman / Jomox booth B16 : a live performance with JayRope (see with mic in his hand, on the left), and Herman Gillis on Sherman Filterbank (right) ![]() taken at the hotel-lobby : left : Mickey T.
